Internet
Resources for extrusion & polymer technology
The following link gives an overview of
the publication of the Reas
Foundation.
- The following links are to Universities which perform extrusion /
polymer technology research in the Netherlands
- TU-Delft (Group Prof. te Nijenhuisen) Their mission:
Multi-scale structure, properties and dynamics of complex organic and
hybrid materials - with a focus on polymer systems.
- Rijksuniversiteit
Groningen (Group Prof. dr. ir. L.P.B.M. Janssen). If you need an answer on one of your
questions with respect to extrusion, polymer technology, please visit
Leon Janssen. He is able to explain you the behaviour of this machine as
no other.
- Landbouw
universiteit Wageningen I'am not complete sure about the status of
the Wageningen university on this moment. In the past Dick van Zuillichem
wat THE person to go to when you had a question about the use of
extrusion and food technology. On the moment A.J. vd Goot has toaken over
this position. As he has a pHD in extrusion technology from the RUG
(Prof. dr.ir. L.P.B.M. Janssen he surely is the man to ask all your
questions about extruders, food and the technology behind it.
- TU-Eindhoven (Group Prof. H.
Meijer). This group is focussed
on many subjects in polymer technology.
- Universiteit Twente. This group is focussen on polymer
chemistry and biomaterials. A very fruitful area.
- Dutch
Polymer Institute This is the place to start searching for polymer
technology science in the Netherlands
- Rubber Institute Universiteit Twente, this group
focusses on the Rubber Technology.
- Manufacturers (extruders), lots of extruder manufactures are
available in the world some are mentioned here.
- Miscelaneous

Chris Rauwendaal
has written some very nice books about extrusion technology, please check
out his site.
- Biodegradable polymers is still my favorite
working area. Human mankind is able to immitate nature but as soon as we
enhance some properties we make materials that are not in equilibrium
anymore with Nature. This is the big challenge for researchers all over
the world, engineering enhanced performing materials that are in
equilibrium with their surrounding. This site at Twente university is
about biodegradable
plastics.

- The following links are taken over from to
the Chemsep project,
one of the best multicomponent mass transfer and separation codes. As i
can not improve their links i've just copied them.
